“Home away from home...but much better!

Great location, quiet, fun and wonderful family experience!
Beds were comfy, decor beautiful, kitchen well equipped. All the little extras, right where you need them.
Amazing fun in the gym, pond, hot tub!! Grill is awesome, deck by the pond and white sand beach just excellent.
It was great to get away and the owner's thoughtfulness made it feel just like home...but way better with more relaxing & fun. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!"

"If heaven had a cabin...

If heaven had a cabin it probably looks something like this. My wife was celebrating a birthday and we both wanted to escape our executive lifestyle, the city lights of Cleveland, a few days away from the kids, and enjoy the country and Hocking Hills area. Somewhat disappointed that the place we usually stay at was booked we opted to try something different. The only bad thing is our usual place will never see us again because Whitetail Dream Cabins lived up to its name and became our new place.

The property is on 10 acres. We didn’t see one soul during our entire stay. The cabin overlooks Boch Hollow Nature Preserve which was our hiking destination for this trip. The morning sunrise with the fog lingering over the Hollow is a surreal memory I took back home with me.

The moment we opened the door to the cabin we knew we had a new favorite place. Everything is color coordinated from the towels down to the hangers in the closet. No detail was overlooked. The kitchen is fully functional and has all the necessary items to cook a good meal, there were towels for the hot tub and shower. The bed…this isn’t your standard issue cabin bed. I felt like we were at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton.

The wifi and wifi calling worked as advertised and we were able to check in on the grandparents and kids during our stay. We were able to root on the Cleveland Cavaliers with the Satellite TV. And after being inspired by a Cavs win, we laced up our basketball shoes, connected to the Sonos sound system and played some basketball in the most amazing gym we had seen. Still can’t believe such a place exists. After we wore ourselves out and hit the shower we relaxed in a well maintained and spacious hot tub looking at stars we just don’t get to see living in the city.

The lake and beach in the back were immaculate. There was even a canoe for the lake along with a hammock. While we didn’t grill the setup was amazing. If you think the photos look good it’s even better in person.

The owner maintains excellent communication and really does a great job of putting together a book of all the things to see in do in the area. I can’t recommend this place enough, you won’t be disappointed. We’re already looking at our calendar for an opportunity to book our next stay."

"What a place! So unique and private. The inside basketball gym was a huge draw for us. We got to watch the Cavs season opener and play basketball at the same time! Amazing! So many great little touches. Pond, hot tub and great local wildlife. Definitely highly recommend"

We enjoyed seeing wildlife daily, canoeing/swimming in the pond, feeding the fish, and nightly campfires. The gym and Sonos sound system were a hit with our two kids, and the best part was complete privacy! It was a perfect get away, and we'll definitely be back."

"Wow! What a beautiful property. We stayed here for a couple days following our wedding and could not be happier about the stay. It is very secluded property so a great getaway if you are looking for peace and quiet. The basketball court was so fun and a great touch. Also the pond area was a great place to grill out and relax.
